CDP Local Business Lunch Series
The DHC Career Development Program hosts regular events to encourage students to learn about local businesses in Missoula. This Local Business Lunch series provides students with the opportunity to network with professionals and learn about jobs and internships.
U.S. Forest Service
Forest Service officials visited the DHC during the spring of 2018 and connected with honors students about seasonal and long-term positions, volunteering, and community outreach.
SG Long Financial
SG Long Financial connected with students in the DHC during spring of 2018. SG Long is an employee owned financial services firm operating in 45 states across the United States. SG Long Financial was founded over 30 years ago by a group of entrepreneurs that decided to build a full service brokerage that serves all sorts of communities.
Montana Community Development Corporation
DHC hosted the Montana Community Development Corporation on February 7, 2018. MTCDC's mission is to provide financial consulting to entrepreneurs and small business owners across the Montana and Idaho regions.
Missoula Environmental Organizations
Students joined the DHC for coffee and tea in the lounge on November 28, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. and learned more about spring internship opportunities at local environmental organizations. This event was cohosted by the UM Climate Change Studies Program.
On November 8th, DHC students met with the CEO of Submittable, as well as other senior staff of the hi-tech start-up company. Submittable, is the world’s largest submission management platform, with over 10,000 clients, including SpaceX, Airbnb, The Kennedy Center, Harvard, and 300+ universities. At this lunch, Suzie Reahard, front-end engineer, and Asta So, Chief of Staff, discussed job and paid fellowship opportunities at Submittable. As a product used globally, Submittable is very motivated to hire team members who are representative of different and diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Advanced Technology Group (ATG)
The first lunch was hosted on October 6th in the DHC Lounge, and featured representatives from the Advanced Technology Group (ATG), a local consulting firm. ATG shared information on exciting job and internship opportunities. ATG is a technology consulting firm located in downtown Missoula looking to hire young, motivated and hardworking students. ATG offers part-time and full-time jobs, as well as paid internships. ATG employs people of diverse backgrounds, including sociology, economics, business, and even acting.
